Dye Sublimation is a jersey making process that includes using heat to transfer dye from the printer paper to the fabric. This produces a jersey with vibrant colors and will have minimal fading. The ink is made to last for a longer time than other jersey making processes out there.
1. We print the jersey from our industrial size printer that prints the exact sizes. The design gets printed on paper with some coating on it.
2. We then place the printed paper onto the fabric. Usually a polyester material works the best, but can work on a myriad of fabrics.
3. Then, we heat and press to transfer design on the printer paper to the fabric. With temperatures over 200° C, the ink from the printer paper transfers to the fabric seamlessly. (See Photo on Left of Heat Press)
4. Finally, we separate the fabric from the paper. It takes only seconds to dry and the fabric is ready to go.
